Free public transport for pupils [DETAILS]
From 1st September 2018 on, all pupils and learning young people until 21 years of age with a valid school ID card are entitled to travel for free by means of public transport in Wroclaw.
According to the resolution, the following persons are entitled to travel for free:
teachers and guardians of organised groups of pupils of Wroclaw schools and other educational institutions:
- travelling by means of mass transport
- youth sociotherapy centre, youth educational centres and special school & educational centres travelling by means of mass transport
for the purpose of participation in lessons taking place in outdoor urban space, sports competitions or any other educational & upbringing classes.
pupils of primary, post-primary, middle and post-middle schools who are not more than 21 years’ old;
The above persons are entitled to travel free of charge also in Koleje Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesia Railways) and Przewozy Regionalne (Regional Transport) trains within the borders of Wroclaw (between stations that have “Wrocław” in their names).

My child learns in Świdnica, but we often arrive in Wroclaw. Is he also entitled to travel for free?
Yes. Every pupil of primary, post-primary, middle and post-middle schools legally functioning in Poland who has a valid school ID card and is not more than 21 years’ old is entitled to travel for free.
I am a foreigner, but I attend a school in Wroclaw. Am I entitled to travel for free?
Yes. Every foreigner having a valid Polish school ID card is covered by the resolution and entitled to travel free of charge. Foreigners who attend other than Polish schools have been entitled to 50% discounts on tickets so far.
Does the resolution apply to suburban lines? If yes, which?
The resolution applies to suburban lines on entire routes, but only those where transport service is ordered by the Municipality of Wroclaw. These are the following lines: 602, 607, 609, 612, 900L, 900P, 901, 904, 908. 910, 911, 914, 917, 920, 921, 923, 924, 930, 931, 934, 936, 937 and 938. On other commercial non-urban lines that do not managed by the Municipality of Wroclaw, the rules remain unchanged.
